Lissolo, a Wyoming native, will lead capital markets and commercial strategy as the company advances its Nasdaq listing and Halleck Creek development.
American Rare Earths Ltd. promoted Nick Lissolo to chief commercial officer, giving the former Newmont Corp. executive a remit that includes capital markets, commercial strategy, and government relations as the company works toward a Nasdaq listing.
Lissolo joined the company in March from Newmont, where he most recently served as head of evaluation modeling, global. He spent 17 years at the gold miner in roles spanning project evaluation, financial reporting, and South American controllership. He holds a management degree from the University of Wyoming and is a Wyoming native, a background the company sees as an asset for its Halleck Creek rare earths project in the state.
“Since joining us in March, Nick has quickly become a trusted member of our senior leadership team, and this expanded role reflects the impact he has already had on our development pathway,” Chief Executive Officer Mark Wall said in a statement. “As we advance our Nasdaq listing process, deepen commercial partnerships in support of a domestic mine-to-magnet strategy, and broaden our understanding of the full value of the Halleck Creek land package beyond the Cowboy State Mine, Nick’s combination of Tier-1 mining finance experience and Wyoming roots makes him the right leader to carry that work forward.”
Lissolo said the Halleck Creek project’s potential extends beyond the Cowboy State Mine. He will lead a whole-of-property assessment and build commercial partnerships for a domestic mine-to-magnet supply chain. The company is advancing Halleck Creek through its wholly owned Wyoming Rare (USA) Inc. subsidiary. The project, located on Wyoming state land, uses open-pit mining and benefits from streamlined permitting.
American Rare Earths trades on the ASX and OTCQX markets. The company said there are no additional material terms to Lissolo’s appointment outside ordinary executive arrangements.
