Newcore Gold appointed Ben Collins as vice president of projects and promoted Mal Karwowska to senior vice president of corporate development and investor relations, the company said Thursday.
Collins, who holds a Ph.D. in mineral economics from McGill and a mining engineering degree from UBC, joins from Fuse Advisors, part of SLR, where he served as director of projects. He was a member of the consulting team that delivered the pre-feasibility study for Newcore's Enchi Gold Project in Ghana, the company said. His role will focus on guiding the next phase of technical programs at Enchi, including an 80,000-metre drill program targeting discovery and resource expansion.
