NEET-UG 2026 Retest: NTA Tells Candidates to Stay Calm, Arrive Early

The National Testing Agency is running the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination for millions of students on Monday. Authorities have asked candidates to stay calm, trust themselves, and reach their centres ahead of time. The NTA said it has put extensive security measures in place across all exam locations. These include surveillance cameras, police deployment, and strict protocols to prevent any malpractice. The agency also said the exam's integrity is its top priority. One senior official told reporters that the arrangements match or exceed those of a standard NEET-UG cycle. The re-examination follows a court-ordered retest after a paper leak earlier this year. Students at an Abu Dhabi centre were assigned rooms based on their own login credentials, the NTA confirmed, after some candidates raised questions about centre allocation. The agency did not comment on whether more retests could follow.
