Naf's H1 net profit hit SAR 5 million, up 199% from SAR 1.7 million. CEO Basel Al-Harbi expects the second production line to lift sales further in H2.
Naf Co. for Feed for Industry reported a 199% jump in first-half net profit to SAR 5 million, according to Argaam data. Chief Executive Basel Al-Harbi said the gain came from higher sales, new customers, improved operational efficiency, better use of production capacity, and the launch of a second production line during H1 2026.
Al-Harbi told Argaam the new line improved the company's ability to meet growing demand. He expects the impact to become more evident in the second half, when Naf uses its available capacity and improves operating efficiency, supporting growth in production and sales.
Global geopolitical developments weighed on the feed sector through shipping costs and raw material prices, Al-Harbi said. Demand in the Saudi market remains steady because it is tied directly to livestock and poultry production. "We are working to enhance supply-chain resilience and diversify our sources of supply, while efficiently managing inventory and procurement to mitigate the impact of global market volatility," he added.
Feed prices moved with raw material costs and supply-chain expenses during the period. Al-Harbi said revenue growth came mainly from higher sales volumes and an expanded customer base, not from price changes alone. He expects feed prices in H2 2026 to remain linked to global raw material prices and shipping costs, along with local supply and demand. Naf will keep managing raw material costs and improving operating efficiency to protect margins, he said.
On Naf's planned transfer to the Saudi Main Market, Al-Harbi said the company's strategy through 2030 includes moving to TASI as a key objective. Any developments or decisions on the move will be announced under the relevant rules and regulations.
The company is focused on strengthening its position in feed through market expansion and a larger customer base, while making fuller use of existing production capacity. Al-Harbi said Naf is evaluating investment opportunities, including expansion or acquisitions, with a focus on feed and food security. "We are continuously evaluating investment opportunities that could support its strategy and create value for shareholders, whether through expansion or acquisitions, with a focus on activities related to the feed sector, supply chains, and food security, whenever opportunities are strategically and financially suitable," he said.
