Munich Re reported Q2 net profit of €3.9 billion; CEO Christoph Jurecka says the reinsurer is 'firmly on track' for its full-year targets. The call drew analysts from more than a dozen firms.
Munich Re posted a net profit of €3.9 billion for the second quarter of 2026, and Chief Executive Christoph Jurecka said the reinsurer is "firmly on track to achieve its full year targets."
"We deliver on our promises," Jurecka told analysts on the earnings call Thursday. The company has consistently hit its annual targets in recent years, he said.
The quarterly result landed on a day with multiple European insurers reporting earnings. Christian Becker-Hussong, head of investor relations, thanked analysts for attending given the scheduling overlap.
Jurecka did not provide a segment breakdown or explicit guidance for the second half beyond reiterating the full-year target. The call drew analysts from a dozen firms including BofA Securities, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Barclays and UBS.
Andrew Buchanan, the company's chief financial officer, also joined the call but did not deliver separate remarks during the presentation.
