
Mangalore Refinery swung to ₹915 crore Q1 profit from ₹272 crore loss, revenue doubled to ₹41,609 crore on higher crude throughput; SAF certification also achieved.
Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd. swung to a net profit of ₹915 crore in the fiscal first quarter, against a loss of ₹272 crore a year earlier, the company said on Tuesday.
Revenue from operations nearly doubled to ₹41,609 crore, from ₹20,989 crore in the same period of 2025-26, driven by higher crude throughput and improved refining margins.
MRPL processed 4.43 million tonnes of crude and other feedstock in the three months ended June 30, up from 3.52 million tonnes a year earlier. Crude oil throughput rose as the refinery ran at higher utilization rates.
Earnings before interest, depreciation, tax and amortisation surged to ₹1,860 crore from ₹218 crore. Exports increased to ₹5,012 crore from ₹4,767 crore.
The company received authorization from the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board for an aviation turbine fuel pipeline from the Devangonthi terminal to Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. Product loading commenced at the Aegis terminal in Mangaluru, the Hindupur depot in Andhra Pradesh, and the Ennore terminal in Tamil Nadu.
MRPL also executed lease agreements for tankages at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority in Navi Mumbai, and in Kakinada and Krishnapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.
On the sustainability front, MRPL obtained certification under the ISCC CORSIA framework on April 24 for co-processing used cooking oil, a milestone in its sustainable aviation fuel programme.
The board of directors approved the standalone and consolidated financial results on July 15.
