MoonPay buys Entendre to automate crypto accounting. The platform handles 25,000 transactions per month per client and cuts manual work by more than half.
MoonPay acquired Entendre, an AI accounting platform whose agents handle reconciliation and financial close for companies like Polygon Labs and Thirdweb. The deal adds automated bookkeeping and reporting to MoonPay's digital asset infrastructure.
Entendre's platform connects blockchain transactions with standard accounting systems. It classifies payments, reconciles balances, generates journal entries and builds audit records for companies managing stablecoins and other tokens. The tool integrates with NetSuite, QuickBooks and Xero, plus payment platforms such as Ramp, Stripe and Meow.
MoonPay said Entendre's customers automate 93% of journal entries, cut manual work by more than half and close their books three times faster. The average client runs more than 30 financial accounts, processes roughly 25,000 transactions a month and operates across at least three legal entities.
MoonPay CEO Ivan Soto Wright said stablecoin adoption depends on back-office speed matching payment speed. The acquisition gives MoonPay's existing payments and trading clients a ready-made accounting layer. For Entendre's roster – which also includes Brale, Babylon Labs and Ostium – the combination means direct access to MoonPay's settlement rails and institutional custody tools.
This is MoonPay's fourth acquisition in 2025. Earlier deals brought security infrastructure (Sodot), wallet technology (Decent) and trading execution (DFlow). Sodot's technology has secured more than $50 billion in transactions and protected over 10 million wallets. MoonPay Trade now gives institutions access to more than 200 blockchains through a single interface.
With Entendre, MoonPay covers payments, wallets, trading, key management and AI-powered accounting. Entendre founder Kareem Khattab will join MoonPay as vice president of applied AI. Existing customers are expected to see no service disruption.
