Monaire, an AI platform for HVAC and refrigeration monitoring, is now available through Restaurant Supply Chain Solutions, the procurement cooperative that serves Yum! Brands chains including KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell. The deal makes Monaire the first energy-management solution offered to RSCS members.
The program lets operators add wireless sensors and continuous AI monitoring to existing equipment. Monaire flags performance issues and likely failures early, so teams can act before problems turn into energy waste, emergency repairs, or downtime, the company said. The system can route alerts into work orders in the member's existing computerized maintenance management system, including platforms such as EcoTrak, ServiceChannel, and Restaurant Intelligence.
Restaurant operators using Monaire typically reduce energy consumption by 10-25% and repair costs by up to 30%, with fewer disruptive equipment failures, according to the company. Monaire is already deployed across hundreds of restaurant locations operated by RSCS members, including Taco Bell and Pizza Hut.
"Our members are continually looking for practical ways to improve the middle of the P&L by reducing operating costs without adding complexity," Paul Hanniffy, senior vice president of development and equipment solutions at RSCS, said in a statement. He called Monaire "an important first step in expanding the solutions we can bring to our members in HVAC/R management."
HVAC and refrigeration are among the biggest controllable costs in a restaurant, driven by guest comfort, kitchen load swings, and after-hours runtime. RSCS negotiates pricing for tens of thousands of food, packaging, and equipment items for its members.
"Restaurant operators need earlier action and measurable outcomes, not another dashboard," said Rahul Subramany, founder and CEO at Monaire, a company founded by former Trane and SimpliSafe executives.
The RSCS Monaire Member Program is available now through the RSCS Member Programs portal.
