Mises Institute Advocates Private Property Order, Austrian Economics

Ludwig von Mises's 1929 preface, written in Vienna for the original German edition of his essays, offered a sustained critique of interventionism, then the reigning economic policy across Europe and America.

The Mises Institute, a non-profit organization, promotes teaching and research in the Austrian School of economics, individual freedom, honest history, and international peace. It follows the tradition of Ludwig von Mises and Murray N. Rothbard.

The institute describes itself as non-political and non-partisan. It advocates a radical shift in intellectual climate, away from statism and toward a private property order. The institute believes its foundational ideas hold permanent value and opposes compromise and sellout of those ideas with fashionable political or cultural doctrines hostile to their spirit.
