McChip Resources appoints Fraser Hartley as independent director

McChip Resources appointed Vancouver corporate finance lawyer Fraser Hartley as an independent director effective Aug. 21, the company said in a statement.

Hartley is a partner at Nexa Legal LLP and has served on several TSX Venture Exchange issuer boards. He studied law and arts at the University of British Columbia and began his legal career at an international New York firm.

Ed Dumond stepped down from the board to make room for Hartley. McChip thanked Dumond for his service.

McChip is a Toronto-based natural resource company incorporated in 1935. It holds investments in mineral and other resource opportunities. Shares trade on the TSXV under MCS.

The board now includes CEO Zachary Goldenberg, CFO Carlo Rigillo, Hartley and Grant Duthie. The audit committee was reconstituted with Hartley as chair, joined by Duthie and Goldenberg.
