Maxpeedingrods' new Rear Air Helper Spring Kit provides up to 5,000 lbs of adjustable load-leveling support for heavy-duty pickups, targeting rear-end squat during towing and hauling.
Maxpeedingrods has added a Rear Air Helper Spring Kit to its suspension lineup, aimed at heavy-duty pickup owners who tow, haul, or carry campers. The kit offers up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity, adjustable between 5 and 100 PSI.
The product addresses a common problem: rear-end sag when a truck bed fills with tools, a trailer hitch drops weight on the ball, or a slide-in camper presses down on the frame. Excessive squat shifts headlight aim, dulls steering response, and makes highway towing feel less stable. Air helper springs let the driver dial in pressure for the day's load, then bleed it off for the empty commute.
Maxpeedingrods designed the kit as a bolt-on supplement to the factory suspension. It does not change the manufacturer's rated payload or towing capacity. The air springs use a four-layer reinforced construction, and the company says each unit passes an air-tightness test during manufacturing. Internal testing put the system through more than five million compression cycles.
Installation is meant for DIY owners and professional shops alike. The kit includes air springs, mounting brackets, air lines, hardware, and a no-drill inflation valve bracket that avoids permanent vehicle modifications. Standardized fittings and serviceable parts support future replacement.
"The same truck is often used for commuting during the week and towing or hauling on the weekend," a Maxpeedingrods product representative said. "This kit gives drivers the flexibility to adjust suspension support based on changing loads while maintaining everyday drivability."
The Rear Air Helper Spring Kit joins Maxpeedingrods' existing air suspension range, which includes air struts, air spring systems, and air management products for passenger vehicles and pickups.
