Matachewan Consolidated Mines replaced its chief executive of five decades on Thursday, a leadership shift at the Toronto-based natural resource investment company.
Richard (Bo) McCloskey resigned as CEO and director effective July 17, the company said in a statement. Zachary Goldenberg, already on the board, took over as CEO the same day.
McCloskey's departure ends a 50-year tenure. The company thanked him for his contributions and noted he remains a shareholder.
The management and board now consists of Goldenberg, Carlo Rigillo as CFO, corporate secretary and director, and Ed Dumond as director.
Matachewan, incorporated in 1933, holds exposure to the natural resource sector through mineral and other resource-related investments. Its shares trade on the TSX Venture Exchange under MCM.A.
