Lindt Opens Second Manchester Shop at Trafford Centre

Lindt & Sprüngli opened a second Manchester chocolate shop on May 28. The store is in the Trafford Centre, one of the UK's largest shopping malls.

The Swiss chocolatier now has two locations in the city. The first Manchester store opened several years ago. The Trafford Centre site gives Lindt exposure to heavy foot traffic from across the North West.

The opening follows a period of steady retail investment by Lindt in the UK. The company operates more than a dozen standalone shops across Britain, mostly in shopping centres and high streets. Physical retail remains a core channel for premium chocolate brands, even as online sales grow.

Lindt did not disclose investment figures or sales targets for the new store.
