Pre-orders opened today for the LEGO Group's second Star Trek set, a 1,701-piece recreation of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 bridge from The Original Series. The set is priced at $199.99.
The kit includes eight minifigures: James T. Kirk, Spock, Nyota Uhura, Hikaru Sulu, Leonard McCoy, Pavel Chekov, Christine Chapel, and Montgomery Scott. Tribbles are included. The set covers the bridge and transporter room in a modular, open-faced design.
The launch follows last November's USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D set and marks the 60th anniversary of the series. The set ships September 1.
