Kroger customers can now get groceries and eligible prescriptions delivered together in a single order. The service, announced Monday, runs through the company’s websites and apps and is powered by Instacart.
Prescriptions are filled by Kroger pharmacy teams, sealed in tamper-resistant packaging and delivered from the local store to the customer’s door by an Instacart shopper. Customers can choose handoff or leave-at-door delivery, according to the press release.
Boost by Kroger Plus members get exclusive discounts, 2x Points, streaming options and free grocery and prescription delivery on eligible orders, the company said.
“This new service combines the convenience of grocery delivery with the personalized care provided by our pharmacy teams,” Colleen Lindholz, president of Kroger Health, said in the release.
Ryan Hamburger, chief commercial officer at Instacart, said the collaboration brings “greater convenience to everyday life while preserving the trusted pharmacy experience customers depend on.”
The offering builds on an existing partnership. Instacart in June 2025 began powering Kroger’s Express Delivery, which promises grocery delivery in as quickly as 30 minutes. Kroger also has deployed Instacart’s AI-powered shopping carts, Caper Carts, at some of its banners.
