Kosmos Energy Ltd. brought the J76 well online in mid-June in Ghana, adding roughly 20,000 barrels per day to the field's gross production. The company said the well benefited from the latest seismic data and its own reservoir modelling. The Jubilee field's daily output averaged 72,000 bopd in the second quarter, exiting the period above 85,000 bopd.
The next well in the program, J77, is already completed and should begin production imminently, Kosmos said. That well is expected to push Jubilee gross output toward 90,000 bopd.
In Mauritania and Senegal, the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim LNG project performed well, with nine LNG cargoes lifted during the second quarter. A condensate cargo was also lifted in the period. In the Gulf of America, the farm-down process for the Tiberius project, sanctioned in March, is progressing. Completion is expected in the third quarter.
Kosmos is a deepwater exploration and production company focused on oil and gas properties. Its crude oil output from Jubilee remains the key near-term driver as the 2026 campaign continues.
