King Chef's New Dimsum Kitchen Targets Taguig Professionals

King Chef has operated for more than a decade under the tagline “Chef of Kings, King of Chefs.” The company runs an annual internal culinary competition, the King Chef Challenge, to keep quality consistent across its branches. It is privately held and does not publish financial results.

The new site targets working professionals and residents in the Bonifacio Global City area. Management described the location as part of a broader goal to become the top Chinese restaurant chain in every major Philippine urban center.

The casual dining sector in Metro Manila remains competitive, with local chains and international brands jostling for market share. Consumer spending in the Philippines has held up despite inflation, supported by a young population and rising wages in business districts. King Chef's expansion suggests the company sees room to capture more of that traffic through convenience and a standardized dimsum offering.
