Jura Energy's Maru-3 development well came onstream in Pakistan at 0.7 MMcf/d, set for acid stimulation in Q4 to boost rates. The company holds a 10.66% stake in the lease.
Jura Energy said a development well on its Maru lease in Pakistan has been put on production, flowing conventional natural gas at roughly 1.02 million cubic feet a day during a post-completion test.
The well, Maru-3, was drilled to 951 metres and tied into production facilities. It is producing around 0.7 MMcf/d now. Output should rise after a production build-up survey and acid stimulation, which the company plans in the fourth quarter.
The Maru lease covers 15.41 square kilometres across the Rahim Yar Khan district in Punjab and the Ghotki district in Sindh. It is operated by Oil and Gas Development Company Limited. Jura holds a 10.66% working interest in the lease.
Jura, based in Calgary, is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under ticker JEC. It works through two Pakistan subsidiaries, Frontier Holdings Limited and Spud Energy Pty Limited.
