Juice It Up! posted 13% system sales growth and 9.2% same-store sales in H1 2026, driven by a 7.3% traffic jump. The chain aims to double its unit count in four years.
Juice It Up! system sales rose 13% year over year in the first half of 2026, while same-store sales climbed 9.2%. Guest traffic jumped 7.3%, the chain said, showing demand for its smoothies and bowls remains strong.
"Our performance through the first half of 2026 demonstrates that more and more consumers are prioritizing fresh, functional products that fit seamlessly into their daily routines," said Susan Taylor, President and CEO.
The results extend a multiyear run. Compared with the first half of 2023, same-store sales are up 27% and transactions have increased 14%. Unit-level economics remain among the strongest in the better-for-you beverage category. The top 25% of Juice It Up! locations averaged $944,073 in annual sales; the top 50% averaged $802,295; the systemwide average was $634,294. Seven individual locations surpassed $1 million.
Menu innovation drove much of the growth. In the first half, the chain launched a customizable superfruit bowl platform that boosted bowl sales 12.2% above the prior year. Its protein-focused Zone lineup accounted for more than 10% of first-quarter sales. In the second quarter, Juice It Up! debuted Chobani Greek Yogurt Protein Smoothies, which generated 12% year-over-year growth in the protein smoothie category and added $1.3 million in sales.
Juice It Up! has focused on functional ingredients and ingredient transparency, which it says appeals to health-conscious consumers. The chain's digital ordering platform and updated store design have also contributed to the traffic gains.
Expansion is accelerating. Juice It Up! opened its 100th location in Gardnerville, Nevada, and signed new development agreements in Texas and Utah. The chain expects to open more than 10 stores in 2026, with another 12 in development. It is targeting markets in Texas, Utah, Arizona, Oregon and non-traditional venues such as airports and universities.
"Our growth is not driven by a single initiative. It's the result of multiple parts of the business performing at exceptionally high levels simultaneously," said Chris Britt, Co-Chairman and Co-Owner.
Ed St. Geme, Co-Chairman and Co-Owner, said the chain will focus on franchise growth and menu innovation in the second half, while expanding access to the brand in new markets.
Juice It Up! now has nearly 130 locations open or under development across California, New Mexico, Oregon, Oklahoma and Texas. The chain is seeking expansion in Nevada and Utah. Its stated goal is to double its unit count in the next four years.
