Iltani Resources hits 9m at 66 g/t silver and 12 g/t indium at Orient East, with a diamond rig due this week for beneficiation test work. Drilling continues.
Alpha Score of 68 reflects moderate overall profile with strong momentum, strong value, weak quality, moderate sentiment.
Iltani Resources (ASX: ILT) has delivered high-grade assays for four reverse circulation holes at the Orient East target, part of a 110-hole campaign at its Orient silver-indium project in Queensland.
The best intercept was 9 metres at 66 grams per tonne silver, 12 g/t indium, 1.7% lead and 1.7% zinc (215 g/t silver-equivalent) from 61 metres. That included 5 metres at 104 g/t silver, 21 g/t indium, 2.6% lead and 2.5% zinc (334 g/t AgEq) from 63 metres.
A second hole returned 40 metres at 20 g/t silver, 1 g/t indium, 0.5% lead and 0.6% zinc (66 g/t AgEq) from 26 metres, including 11 metres at 31 g/t silver, 2 g/t indium, 0.7% lead and 1% zinc (106 g/t AgEq) from 35 metres.
Two holes drilled at the separate Orient West target returned multiple intercepts of silver-lead-zinc-indium mineralisation, though Iltani said grades were lower than at Orient East. The best Orient West result was 7 metres at 25 g/t silver, 11 g/t indium, 0.7% lead and 1% zinc (103 g/t AgEq) from 20 metres.
Iltani has completed 81 holes for 15,485 metres across Orient East and Orient West. A diamond rig is due to start this week, producing large-diameter core for beneficiation test work at Tomra labs in Sydney to establish economic viability.
Managing director Donald Garner said the company was submitting samples to the assay lab every two or three days. "With this high level of activity and about eight weeks of drilling to complete, we expect to have results flowing through the coming months as we work to fill the gap between Orient East and West, extend the mineralisation along strike, and improve grades and confidence," he said.
Orient is Australia's largest known silver-indium deposit, housed within the Herberton project where Iltani holds 370 square kilometres of tenements in the Herberton mineral field. The land covers part of the Boonmoo Sag Caldera, which contains several historical copper-silver-lead-zinc and gold targets including Orient.
Iltani also holds a tenement over the Isabel copper-lead-zinc-indium-silver massive sulphide deposit and the Isabel Extended high-grade copper-rich massive sulphide target.
