i-80 Gold CEO Richard Young said Q2 marked a pivot after the Q1 recapitalization, with a stronger balance sheet and development advancing.
i-80 Gold Corp. reported second-quarter results Tuesday, with management framing the period as a pivot after the company's first-quarter recapitalization.
"The first half of 2026 marked an important turning point for i-80 Gold," President and CEO Richard Young said on the earnings call. He said the Nevada-based miner had strengthened its balance sheet and was "encouraged by the progress" made as it moves into the second half of the year.
The company raised capital earlier in 2026 to address liquidity issues and restart development at its underground mining projects. Young said the team is now "executing against the development plan."
Chief Financial Officer Ryan Snow and Chief Operating Officer Paul Chawrun also participated, fielding questions from analysts at SCP Resource Finance and National Bank Financial. Neither the call nor the company's press release included specific production figures or cost guidance.
i-80 Gold trades on the TSX under IAU:CA. Its primary assets include the Lone Tree autoclave and the Ruby Hill and Granite Creek mines in Nevada. Gold has climbed roughly 20% this year, offering a favourable backdrop for developers. The company's gold profile places it among mid-tier miners aiming to bring new supply online late this decade.
The company's 10-Q for the June quarter is available on SEDAR+ and EDGAR, Young said.
