Honeywell International beat second-quarter estimates on both the top and bottom lines, then raised its full-year guidance on the back of a 4% organic sales gain and a record backlog.
Non-GAAP earnings came in at $4.52 a share, well ahead of the $2.70 consensus, the company said in a statement. Revenue rose 4.3% from a year earlier to $9.72 billion, also topping expectations by a wide margin. Organic sales, which strip out currency and M&A effects, were up 4%.
Operating margin came in at 17.9%, while segment margin – a measure the company uses internally – hit 23.1%. Orders rose 4%, pushing the total backlog to roughly $38 billion, a level Honeywell said gives it unusual visibility into the next several quarters.
The company now expects full-year 2026 adjusted earnings of $16.90 to $17.30 a share on revenue of $38.6 billion to $39.0 billion. The prior forecast called for EPS of $16.55 to $17.05 on revenue of $38.3 billion to $38.7 billion.
