HLL Lifecare Limited opened AMRIT Plus, a premium pharmacy chain that sells medicines, medical devices, wellness products, nutritional supplements, personal care items and lifestyle healthcare products. The launch happened Monday, with Chairperson and Managing Director Anitha Thampi presiding.
AMRIT Plus is an offshoot of HLL's existing AMRIT network, which stands for Affordable Medicines and Reliable Implants for Treatment. Thampi said the new chain aims to deliver a premium healthcare retail experience while keeping the core values of affordability, quality and accessibility that the AMRIT brand is known for.
Alongside the pharmacy launch, Thampi inaugurated Specialty HINDLABS, an advanced diagnostics unit offering genomics, Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and molecular diagnostics. She also opened HLL Home Healthcare Services, which provides in-home care including skilled nursing, post-operative care, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, elderly care, chronic disease management, diagnostics and tele-consultation support.
HLL separately announced that its Hindlabs Reference Laboratory at Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, received CAP Accreditation, a global quality assurance standard for laboratory medicine. The company also said it partnered with the Odisha Government to set up and run a Trauma Care Centre at Panikoili in Jajpur district. That facility will be developed as a comprehensive trauma and emergency care centre with plans for phased expansion.
HLL directors Ajit N. (Marketing), P. Remesh (Finance) and Benny Joseph (Technical Operations) attended the launch event.
