Henkel celebrated 150 years by hosting over 50 home-educated students at its UK headquarters for its Forscherwelt STEM programme, marking a new audience for the initiative.
Henkel brought its Forscherwelt STEM education programme to home-educated students at its UK headquarters in Hemel Hempstead last week. The event was part of the company's 150th anniversary celebrations. More than 50 students took part in hands-on science activities.
Forscherwelt, German for "researcher world", has run in multiple countries since 2011. The UK session was the first time Henkel offered it specifically to home-educated students. The programme aims to spark interest in science and technology from an early age, the company said.
Henkel operates three business units: adhesive technologies, beauty care, and laundry and home care. Its UK headquarters houses the group's innovation centre. The anniversary event centred on Henkel's history of innovation, which dates back to founder Fritz Henkel in 1876.
The company did not disclose plans for additional Forscherwelt sessions for home-educated students. It said it remains committed to STEM outreach.
Henkel trades over the counter under the ticker HENKY. The stock has been flat over the past month. The anniversary event did not trigger any material price movement.
