HashKey Lists Franklin Templeton Tokenized Money Fund in Hong Kong

Chetan Karkhanis, Senior Vice President of Digital Assets Client Engagement at Franklin Templeton, said the relationship is expected to grow beyond money market funds. Future efforts may include additional tokenized products distributed through HashKey's network spanning Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Dubai and Bermuda.

Franklin Templeton already has a presence in the region, having previously introduced a related tokenized money market product in Hong Kong. HashKey strengthens its Earn ecosystem by adding a regulated, real-world-asset-backed yield option from a major global manager.

The partnership reflects the convergence of traditional asset management and digital asset platforms in Asia, where regulatory clarity in hubs like Hong Kong is enabling on-chain products. Both firms aim to create a scalable pathway for institutional investors seeking exposure to tokenized offerings from established managers.

Karkhanis highlighted blockchain's advantages in transparency and efficiency, and said the launch is an important step in expanding the firm's footprint. He did not specify a timeline for additional products.
