Guatemala Trip and Family Week

The author returned from a mission trip to Guatemala on Thursday evening and spent the next two days recovering and catching up on business work. The trip included working with women in a remote village, teaching them to make chocolate chip cookies, and learning to make tamalitos de chipilin. The author also experienced an allergic reaction that was resolved with a combination of medications.

After returning home, the family left Sunday for Georgia for a baseball tournament. The author's son Silas broke his hand during the trip and could not play but coached first base. The family spent 5-6 hours driving each day between game locations and visited local coffee shops and a doughnut shop.
