Great Boulder Resources starts 40,000m drilling campaign at Peak Hill gold project in WA's Murchison region, targeting resource update by end of 2026.
Great Boulder Resources (ASX:GBR) has started a 40,000-metre drilling campaign at the Peak Hill gold project north of Meekatharra in Western Australia's Murchison region. The program targets resource growth and infill drilling across known zones including Jubilee, Durack, Enigma, Harmony and Five Ways.
The company aims to deliver a resource update by the end of calendar 2026. Two reverse-circulation rigs mobilised to site this week, with a diamond rig due in August.
High-grade targets include Golden Treasure, where Westgold previously intersected 19 metres at 13.34 grams per tonne gold from 104 metres in 2025. Managing Director Andrew Paterson said the company sees "huge scope to grow the 481,000oz resource at Peak Hill."
"Extensive high-grade mineralisation has already been identified outside the resource and we have some compelling new targets to test," Paterson said. "Achieving first drilling within a fortnight of completing the acquisition is testament to the skills of our exploration team."
The company has a Mining & Heritage Agreement with the Jidi Jidi Aboriginal Corporation covering the Peak Hill project.
Separately, Great Boulder continues drilling at Side Well with one diamond and one AC rig operating. A further RC rig is expected to mobilise in August. The company has scheduled 20,000 metres of drilling at Side Well in the current half year.
GBR traded at 6.7 cents before the open, giving a market capitalisation of $105.3 million.
