Grasim Industries expects consolidated revenue to hit ₹2 lakh crore in fiscal 2027, nearly double the level five years earlier, Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla said on Friday.
The holding company for Aditya Birla Group flagships such as UltraTech Cement and Aditya Birla Capital reported its highest-ever consolidated revenue of ₹1.75 lakh crore in FY26. Birla, speaking at the firm's 79th annual general meeting, said the earnings mix is becoming more balanced, with established businesses generating strong cash flow while newer growth engines scale up.
Core building materials remain the backbone. UltraTech Cement crossed 200 million tonnes per annum of grey cement capacity in April, Birla said. The paints unit, Birla Opus, doubled revenue year-on-year within two years of launch and captured a 10% revenue market share in decorative paints on a standalone basis in FY26, making it the No. 2 player by capacity. Combined with the Birla White putty business, the group's decorative paints revenue share has reached the early teens, he added.
The B2B e-commerce platform Birla Pivot surpassed its annual revenue guidance of ₹8,500 crore a year ahead of schedule, underscoring the group's ability to build digital businesses alongside manufacturing. Birla said the cellulosic fibres business remains rooted in innovation and sustainability, while the chemicals unit continues to serve critical industries through integration and scale.
Aditya Birla Renewables, which Birla called one of the group's most exciting growth platforms, has transformed from a 2 GW operation into a national-scale business with clear visibility of around 10 GW and an ambition to scale 20 GW. The financial services arm, Aditya Birla Capital, is expanding access to financial solutions for millions of Indians, he said.
Birla said the next phase of growth will be shaped by capabilities and capital. The group is investing in digital tools, analytics, automation and technology-led decision-making across its businesses. These investments improve agility, productivity, customer experience and execution discipline, he said.
Grasim completes 80 years of incorporation on August 25. It now operates 10 business lines with a market capitalisation exceeding ₹2 trillion.
