Golden Deeps secures a diamond rig to test Tsumeb-type sulphide targets below the Gossan 1 corridor at Graceland, following high-grade copper, silver and germanium results from shallow drilling.
Golden Deeps (ASX:GED) is about to start a deeper diamond drilling program at the Graceland prospect in Namibia's Otavi Mountain Land. The company holds 440 sq. km of tenements in the belt, which hosts the world-class Tsumeb deposit 30 km to the north.
The program targets sulphide zones within the 800-metre strike-length Gossan 1 corridor. The focus is an IP-chargeability anomaly that the company believes could host Tsumeb-type mineralisation below the top 100 metres. Earlier channel sampling and shallow drilling at the gossan zones returned high-grade copper, silver, zinc, germanium and antimony results.
CEO Jon Dugdale said the company had secured a diamond rig capable of testing the deeper targets.
