Silver Tiger, which is building the El Tigre silver-gold heap leach project in Sonora, Mexico, said it has entered into an engineering, procurement and construction management contract with Kappes, Cassidy & Associates. The company has also hired its own construction management team. The board has approved the construction decision, with commissioning and first pour targeted for December 2027.
The project is 100% owned and covers more than 37,000 hectares. A pre-feasibility study and preliminary economic assessment for the Stockwork Zone are available on SEDAR.
Investors have been rotating back into mining equities as bullion continues to set new highs. Gold has gained more than 1% on the session, extending its year-to-date advance. The move comes without a clear macro catalyst, though traders pointed to continued physical buying and short-covering in the futures market.
