Foreign institutions net sold SAR 179.5 million on Saudi's TASI last week, the Saudi Exchange reported. The data marks the latest weekly outflow from the index.
Foreign institutions on the Main Market (TASI) were net sellers of stocks worth SAR 179.5 million during the week ended June 25, the Saudi Exchange reported.
The selling came from foreign institutional investors, who offloaded more than they bought over the five-day period. The data covers all trades on the Saudi stock exchange's main board.
The Saudi Exchange releases weekly data on institutional flows every Sunday. The figures include trades by foreign investors, both institutional and individual, though the exchange breaks out institutional activity separately.
Foreign institutional flows are watched closely as a gauge of international confidence in the Saudi market. The kingdom has been working to attract foreign capital through market reforms and index inclusion.
The next weekly data release is scheduled for July 2.
