Voters in three states head to the polls Tuesday. Florida picks a successor to Gov. Ron DeSantis. Alaska and Wyoming narrow their fields for Senate and governor races ahead of November.
Ten Republicans are running for Florida governor, including Rep. Byron Donalds. Donald Trump endorsed him. Six Democrats are in the race. The state has not elected a Democratic governor since 1994.
New congressional maps reshape Florida's House primaries. The map adds four historically Republican-leaning districts, bringing the total to 24 of 28 districts favoring the GOP. Four incumbent Democrats – Reps. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Darren Soto, Cory Mills and Jared Moskowitz – each face districts redrawn to lean more Republican.
For Senate, Alex Vindman, the retired Army lieutenant who testified in Trump's 2019 impeachment hearing, runs against state Rep. Angie Nixon for the Democratic nomination. The seat is held by Sen. Ashley Moody, the former Florida attorney general appointed by DeSantis after Marco Rubio became secretary of state. Moody faces three Republican challengers Tuesday.
