
Iwoca took Fintech Company of the Year; Tunic Pay won two AI awards. The 2026 Fintech Awards London show SME lending and automation scaling.
SME lending specialist Iwoca took the top honor at the Fintech Awards London 2026, a signal that alternative corporate finance is gaining real commercial traction in the UK. Iwoca, which has deployed billions in cumulative funding to small businesses, beat out neobank Zopa Bank for Fintech Company of the Year. Creditspring won Fintech Scale-Up of the Year, with Iwoca earning Highly Commended in that category as well.
The individual awards went to Clearscore chief Justin Basini for Fintech Leader of the Year, while Revolut co-founder Nik Storonsky received the Outstanding Contribution to Fintech award. Storonsky’s recognition reflects a decade of influence on digital banking infrastructure and global fintech valuation benchmarks, according to the award panel.
Artificial intelligence integration stood out as a cross-category theme. Tunic Pay won both Best Use of AI in Fintech and Fintech Start-Up of the Year for its multi-agent fraud prevention system that operates at the payment point. The double victory underscores fast execution and market traction over the past year, the judges said.
Infrastructure and regulatory automation firms also earned strong validation. FinregE Limited took RegTech Company of the Year for its automated compliance and policy mapping software. BCB Group, an institutional payments bridge for fiat-to-crypto transactions, won the Digital Asset Award. Asset tokenization specialist Ctrl Alt received Highly Commended in the same category.
Consumer-facing platforms captured several high-profile categories. Growthinvest won WealthTech Company of the Year. GoCardless clinched PayTech Company of the Year for its bank-to-bank electronic payment rails. Clearscore picked up Fintech New Product of the Year. Digital lender Zilch won Best Marketing Campaign and also took Best Place to Work.
The ecosystem supporting early-stage fintech growth was similarly recognized. Chatsworth won Best Advisory Firm of the Year for its communication campaigns. MHA Baker Tilly was Highly Commended in advisory. TSB Bank won Best Accelerator or Incubator of the Year for its innovation lab program. The mortgage underwriting automation partnership between Mqube and Nottingham Building Society won Best Fintech Collaboration of the Year. TSB received Highly Commended for its anti-fraud joint ventures.
The evening closed with social impact and talent development awards. Lightening Reach won Fintech for Good of the Year for its financial resilience platform that helps vulnerable individuals access support. Juice Ventures took Rising Fintech Star.
