Fashionphile opens its first UK physical store — a Vauxhall pop-up for Chanel, Hermès and Gucci resale. The company plans a London flagship in 2026.
US ultra-luxury resale platform Fashionphile opened its first physical retail space in the UK last week, a pop-up on Black Prince Road in Vauxhall. The appointment-only showroom carries handbags, jewellery and accessories from Chanel, Hermès, Louis Vuitton and Gucci, with an emphasis on rare colourways and limited-edition pieces.
The launch comes less than a year after Fashionphile entered the UK market online. That move followed the company's acquisition of Luxe Collective's digital assets – intellectual property, customer database and social media channels – after the UK secondhand luxury retailer closed in May 2025. Ben Gallagher, Fashionphile's head of UK brand and growth, co-founded Luxe Collective in 2018 with his brother Joe.
Gallagher said the UK is "one of the world's most important luxury markets" with "a strong appetite for pre-owned luxury". The pop-up, he added, lets the company combine its digital platform with a more personal experience. Customers can book appointments to shop or sell, receiving one-to-one support from the team.
The Vauxhall location sits on the Victoria Line, one of London's busiest Underground lines. Gallagher said the area allowed Fashionphile to "create an intimate, appointment-led experience rather than a traditional retail store" and to learn how UK customers want to shop before a permanent London flagship, which was reported last year as planned for 2026.
Gallagher declined to give details on the flagship's timing, telling Retail Gazette to "watch this space". He said the company's immediate focus is London. "Any further locations will be driven by customer demand and what we learn from London," he said. Broader international expansion is not on the near-term agenda.
The pop-up is open to established collectors and first-time resale shoppers, Gallagher said. Sellers can meet the team face-to-face, while buyers can inspect pieces before purchasing. Shoppers can also browse the collection online and arrange a collection from the site.
Fashionphile initially operated in the UK under the domain LuxeCollectiveFashion.com, with Luxe Collective's social channels rebranded as Fashionphile Collective. The pop-up, Gallagher said, "brings the brand to life physically".
