Evion Group (ASX:EVG) has secured mining permits for its Maniry Graphite Project in Madagascar, a regulatory milestone that clears the way for financing talks and a final investment decision. The permits convert the company's remaining exploration licences into mining tenure, covering all areas in the feasibility study.
Managing director David Round called the approval “a transformational milestone for both the project and the company.” The company said the regulatory certainty lets it push ahead with offtake agreements, project financing, and early construction work. Evion is already in talks with potential funding partners, including the European Investment Bank, and has secured up to €3 million in EU-backed grant funding for early-stage development and workforce training.
