Esoteric's $50,000 T-01 Turntable Ships September 2026

Esoteric's new T-01 turntable, priced at $50,000, will ship globally in September 2026. The deck uses the company's patented MagneDrive contactless drive system, first seen on the Grandioso T1. Esoteric said the system achieves rotational silence and high torque by using magnetic induction to spin the platter, eliminating belts and motor vibration.

The T-01 borrows several technologies from the flagship Grandioso T1. It accepts a 10MHz external clock sync, which Esoteric said improves pitch stability. The platter uses Magne-Float technology: magnets reduce the effective mass from 13kg to about 4kg, cutting spindle bearing friction. The platter itself is non-magnetic aluminum, but a soft iron induction wheel surrounds its lower edge. As the magnetic driver rotates, the induced magnetic force turns the platter without contact.

Esoteric spent more than five years developing MagneDrive, from the start of the project through patent acquisition and commercialization. The motor sits in a vibration-absorber case. The chassis uses three layers – aluminum and wood – with a high-gloss piano lacquer on the mid-layer. Isolation feet integrate a spike, pad and damper for vibration suppression.
