Ero Copper (TSX: ERO, NYSE: ERO) said Tuesday its Caraíba copper complex is on pace for another annual plant throughput record in 2026, about 20% above 2025 levels, while Tucumã plant throughput rose 27% from the first quarter. The Vancouver-based miner reported second-quarter operating and financial results for the three and six months ended June 30.
Net debt came to $452.7 million at the end of the quarter, giving Ero a net debt leverage ratio of 0.8x against trailing 12-month adjusted EBITDA of $533.1 million. Management also said the tailings filtration expansion at Tucumã is partially complete and remains on schedule for completion by year-end.
At Xavantina, the gold mine, Ero said mining and processing performance improved significantly from the first quarter, with a substantial increase in gold recovered from historic concentrate stockpiles. That gold is recovered by processing stockpiled material rather than through new mining.
Ero operates three mines in Brazil. Two, Caraíba and Tucumã, produce copper; the third, Xavantina, produces gold. The company said its OneEro integration program is delivering "true benefits" and that it sees a "clear line of sight to further production and cash flow growth."
"Financial progress is being underpinned by operational execution across the portfolio," Ero said in the release. "After an excellent Q2, we believe Ero is well positioned to deliver a strong second half of 2026."
Tucumã's 27% quarter-on-quarter throughput gain and the expected 20% annual lift at Caraíba were the report's headline operational metrics. The quarter spans both copper and gold; commodities analysis covers supply and demand for these markets, and the gold profile tracks the metal's market.
Management will discuss the results on a conference call Thursday, Aug. 6, at 11:30 a.m. Eastern time.
