Elevra Lithium sold its rights on the E45/2364 tenement in Western Australia to Wildcat Resources for $16 million in cash, the company said Friday. The deal also includes a royalty if Wildcat defines a pegmatite mineral resource on the ground, known as Tabba Tabba.
Elevra keeps no ownership or obligations on the tenement. It will, however, retain the potential to participate through the contingent royalty payment if Wildcat finds a resource there. The sale aligns with Elevra's strategy to allocate capital to its core North American assets, including the NAL Brownfield Expansion in Quebec and the advancement of its development pipeline.
“This transaction delivers an attractive outcome for Elevra by unlocking immediate value from a non-core asset through a cash payment which can be reinvested in near-term growth initiatives,” Managing Director Lucas Dow said. He added that the structure lets Elevra benefit from any pegmatite discovery on the tenement while simplifying its portfolio.
Elevra's North American portfolio includes 100% of the North American Lithium operation, a 60% stake in the Moblan Lithium Project in Quebec, and the Carolina Lithium project in the United States. The company trades on the ASX and Nasdaq.
