ED raids TMC-linked firms in Kolkata over ₹150-crore suspect funds probe. Premises of Carewell Aviation and a trust searched.
The Enforcement Directorate on Tuesday searched multiple locations in Kolkata as part of an investigation into the routing of suspect funds through bank accounts linked to the Trinamool Congress, officials said.
About five premises are being covered in the West Bengal capital, they said. Preliminary findings suggest funds worth more than ₹150 crore were routed through aviation and travel companies.
Premises of Carewell Aviation, its directors, and a purported electoral trust were among the sites searched, the ED officials said.
The searches come as part of a broader probe into financial irregularities involving political party accounts. No arrests have been made so far, and the agency has not released a formal statement on the operation.
