Mackenzie Dern kept her UFC women's strawweight championship with a unanimous decision over Gillian Robertson at UFC 330 in Philadelphia. The scorecards read 49-46 twice and 48-47. Dern controlled the co-main event for four rounds, using her size and grappling pressure to chase submissions.
The fifth round shifted. Dern appeared fatigued on the bottom, defending strikes and position changes from Robertson. UFC analyst Joe Rogan said during the broadcast that ending the fight in a defensive posture was a mistake. Rogan and Daniel Cormier suggested future opponents could study that sequence for weaknesses.
