Delhi Police Denies CJP March Permit as Wife Joins Protest

Delhi Police said it has not received or granted any application for a march to Parliament by the group CJP, planned for July 20. Prohibitory orders under section 163 BNSS remain in force across New Delhi district, barring assemblies of five or more people, protest marches, and demonstrations except at the designated Jantar Mantar site with permission, police spokesman Sachin Sharma said. With the Parliament session starting tomorrow, security will be tightened for public safety and protection of government installations. Violators face legal action, he added. Separately, Sonam Wangchuk’s wife joined the protesters, though police did not name her in the statement.
