Defense Metals Corp. (TSXV: DEFN, OTCQB: DFMTF, FSE: 35D) said Monday that President and CEO Mark Tory will present at the Precious Metals & Critical Minerals Virtual Investor Conference on July 22. The company controls the Wicheeda rare earth deposit near Prince George, British Columbia. The property is one of the most advanced undeveloped rare earth element deposits in North America, according to a 2025 pre-feasibility study prepared under NI 43-101. The study outlined a mineral reserve and showed economic potential for the project.
Defense Metals is positioning the Wicheeda deposit as a source of critical rare earths for Western defense, high-tech, and clean energy supply chains. The company said it is advancing the project through the feasibility study stage, permitting, and toward production. The PFS remains preliminary, and a production decision requires additional studies and permits.
The presentation comes as Western governments push to secure rare earth supply chains independent of China. The Wicheeda deposit sits in a mining-friendly jurisdiction and has attracted attention from defense and technology end-users, the company said.
