Costco is testing Yasso's new mini frozen Greek yogurt cups at select locations, offering a 12-pack of Vanilla Caramel and Fudge Chip for $11.89.
Costco has added a new frozen dessert to its shelves: Yasso Frozen Greek Yogurt Cups, available at select warehouse locations for a limited time.
The 12-pack contains mini cups in two flavors. Vanilla Caramel has 80 calories per serving. Fudge Chip has 90. Each cup has less than 100 calories and 4 grams of protein, according to the brand.
Retail price is $11.89, or about $1 per cup, per the Instagram account Costcobffs. Social media reaction has been positive. One Reddit user called Yasso items "top tier" and said they lack the artificial taste of other low-calorie desserts. Another said the cups are "absolutely amazing" and the right portion for a sweet treat.
Yasso's new offering extends a relationship with Costco that already includes frozen Greek yogurt bars in Cookies 'n Cream and Mint Chocolate Chip. Those 15-count packs have similar nutrition profiles. Costco typically uses limited-time releases to test demand before committing to a recurring slot.
AlphaScala's Alpha Score rates Costco at 45 out of 100, labeled Mixed. The score reflects the retailer's stable consumer staples business and its steady traffic from product rotations, though a single item test is unlikely to move the stock on its own.
Shoppers who want the cups should check their local Costco. Yasso said availability depends on region and suggested asking the store manager about ordering it in. The brand also noted the product is available at BJ's Wholesale Club in some areas.
