Cornerstone Detention Products, the detention equipment contractor and security electronics integrator, named Scott A. Edgecombe as President, a newly created role. Edgecombe joins from Tensar, a division of Commercial Metals Co. (NYSE: CMC), where he served as global CEO. His background spans more than 30 years in manufacturing, engineered products, and distribution. "His leadership experience, business acumen, and people-first approach make him an outstanding addition," Claborn said in the announcement.
Edgecombe said the company's combination of manufacturing capability, a national service footprint, and a culture built on integrity drew him to the role. "Our customers operate facilities where reliability isn't negotiable," he said. "My job is to help the company build the capacity to support its continued growth while delivering the same level of quality."
Cornerstone, founded in 1998 and based in Tanner, Alabama, specializes in detention equipment and security electronics, from design through installation. The company has completed more than 5,000 projects across all 50 states and 12 countries, representing over $2 billion in total work performed. Its brands include Airteq and Claborn Manufacturing.
