Construction Startup TerraFirma Raises $115M Series A

TerraFirma, a tech-enabled construction company targeting critical infrastructure, raised $115 million. The round includes a $100 million Series A led by Kleiner Perkins. Participants include Bain Capital Ventures, Glade Brook Capital Partners, BANNER VC, and others. Angel investors include founders and engineers from SpaceX, Anduril, Base Power, Shinkei, and Hadrian.

The company focuses initially on robotic earthworks and site operations. Founded in 2024 by former SpaceX engineers Noah Schochet and Noah McGuinness, TerraFirma builds and uses its own robotics and software in the field, keeping skilled operators at the center while expanding their capabilities.
