Constellium SE (CSTM) signed a 10-year power purchase agreement to buy locally produced solar electricity for its Gottmadingen and Singen plants in Germany. The PPA covers more than 25% of the two plants' combined electricity needs.
The power comes from the Katzental solar park, located near the plants. Deliveries are expected to start in spring 2027 after the necessary electrical infrastructure is installed. Constellium said the deal will avoid roughly 3,500 metric tons of CO₂ emissions each year.
"This initiative is an important step in our efforts to reduce our environmental footprint, strengthen the energy resilience of our operations, and support our long-term competitiveness in Germany," said Stéphane Corre, President of Constellium’s Automotive Structures and Industry business unit.
The Gottmadingen and Singen operations are part of Constellium’s extrusions business. They supply aluminum products to the automotive industry, including crash management systems and battery components for electric vehicles. Constellium generated $8.4 billion in revenue in 2025.
