Chopstix opens in Gateshead with 99p noodles and DJ

Menu staples include Sweet & Sour Chicken, Salt 'N' Pepper Chicken, Chicken Katsu Curry, and the chain's signature Caramel Drizzle Chicken. The store will offer delivery and takeaway through Chopstix's own app and website, as well as via UberEats, Deliveroo, and Just Eat.

Gareth Brannigan, head of new store openings for Chopstix, said the response in each new location "has blown us away."

"So many people are looking for a quick, tasty and affordable option for lunch," Brannigan said. "Chopstix is the ideal option for fresh flavours on-the-go."

The Gateshead opening is part of a broader expansion. The chain opened or refurbished 17 locations in 2025, including in Leeds, Huddersfield, and Hull, and launched its new 3.0 concept in Bridgend.
