Chandigarh University Places 182 Animation Students in Three Years

The university also arranged internships for 174 students across the three years, Sandhu said. Internships placements covered 142 undergraduate and 32 post-graduate students.

Chandigarh University's Department of Animation and Multimedia operates 22 labs and studios, including VFX labs, 2D and 3D animation labs, VR and gaming studios, and chroma studios. The department said it follows a studio-based learning model with curricula that incorporate AI tools.

Guest sessions have featured industry professionals such as Biren Ghose, managing director of Technicolor Group, and Vaibhav Kumaresh, an international animation filmmaker. The university said these sessions aim to connect students with current industry practices.

The university offers degree programs in animation, VFX and gaming, digital filmmaking, and animation and multimedia technology. Chandigarh University holds an A+ grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council and is ranked by QS World University Rankings.
