Cementos Pacasmayo (CPAC) reported net income of 61.5% higher in the second quarter, the Peruvian cement maker said. Revenue rose 15.4% on a 15.5% increase in sales volumes. EBITDA climbed 34.3%, with the margin widening to 31.3%.
The company, one of Peru's largest cement producers, is benefiting from a recovery in construction activity. Lower energy costs are also supporting margins. The EBITDA margin of 31.3% compares with 27.2% in the year-ago period, the company said.
