Titan's CaratLane is exploring a partnership with Dubai-based Damas Jewellery to enter West Asia, according to a report. The move would scrap earlier plans to launch the brand solo in the region.
A tie-up with Damas gives CaratLane access to an established retail network and local market knowledge. That could speed up the entry timeline and lower the upfront cost of building a store base from scratch. Damas, one of the Middle East's best-known jewelry chains, operates across the Gulf.
The shift in strategy comes as Indian jewelry brands look overseas for growth. Titan's main label already has a presence in the Gulf through franchise partners. CaratLane, the digital-first brand Titan acquired fully in 2023, would follow a similar route.
